The latest film of Vahid Mousaeian is about children and young adults. The fifth film made by Mousaeian is about a poor girl, called Mahin, who buys the most expensive birthday present for her friend, Mahtab, but faces a different situation afterwards. Earring is based on a story written by Houshang Moradi Kermani (who specializes in writing books for children and young adults and who has won Hans Christian Anderson prize) and features Akbar Abdi, Massoud Rayegan, and Roya Teimurian. Former films made by Mousaeian; that is, Loneliness of the Wind and The Light House, have not yet been screened in Iran
